Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about playing NPAT.

What are Random Combos?

Every round throws a fresh, random combination of letter and categories at you. No two games ever feel the same — it keeps things unpredictable and tests how quickly you can think on your feet.

Can I suggest a word to be added?

Yes! You can now submit word suggestions directly in the app. Our database grows over time, and player suggestions help shape future content. If you think a valid word is missing, send it our way and we'll consider adding it in a future update.

Which categories are in the game?

Beyond the classic Name, Place, Animal, Thing, NPAT offers categories like Brands, Sports, Food, and Famous Persons. New categories such as Music Artists, Songs, and Movies are on the way.

Is NPAT free? Are there ads?

NPAT is free to play on both iOS and Android. The game is supported by ads, which help us keep building new levels and features for everyone.

Will there be more levels and features?

Absolutely. We currently have 100+ levels with 50 more in development and many more planned. New categories and surprising new features are also on the way to make the game even more fun and educational.

How do I save my progress?

Your single-player progress is saved automatically on your device. Make sure you don't delete the app to keep your level progress and stars.

Why isn't my answer being accepted?

Answers must start with the chosen letter and be a valid entry as per our database in the selected category. Ensure correct spelling as per the common/standard version of the word(s).

How does the Daily Challenge work?

A new challenge is available every day with 6 random categories. You get one attempt per day — complete it as fast as possible to climb the global leaderboard.

How do I play multiplayer?

Tap Multiplayer on the main menu, then either create a game and share the code with friends, or enter a code to join an existing game. Supports 2–10 players.

What is Duel Mode?

Duel Mode is a head-to-head challenge against a friend — both players get the same letter and the same categories, and whoever answers faster and smarter comes out on top. It's currently in testing and coming soon to a future update.

What are stars used for?

Stars are earned by completing levels and through milestone bonuses (every 100 points = 2 bonus stars). You can spend stars to unlock hints during gameplay.

I lost my progress after reinstalling — can I get it back?

Unfortunately single-player progress is stored locally on your device and cannot be recovered after deletion. We're working on cloud backup for a future update.
